Couple suspected of taking over $1.2K from store

Two suspects spent an hour and a half stealing computer equipment and over $1,200 worth of software late Saturday afternoon at Walmart, Shelbyville police said.

   They are described as a man and woman, both white with dark hair and dark clothing, and carrying an infant. The suspects left in a gold van, possibly a Chrysler Town and Country, police said.

Loss prevention employees told police the suspects entered the general merchandise area at 4:58 p.m., took several items from the electronics department and concealed them in the fabrics department, returned to the electronics department for more loot and concealed it in the car stereo department, then left the store with the stolen merchandise.

The suspects stayed in their van in the parking lot for approximately 30 minutes, then reentered, took merchandise from directly in front of the electronics department cash register, concealed it in the hardware department, took more items from the electronics department, concealed it in the small appliances department and left a second time without paying.
