BELL BUCKLE -- The Webb Lady Feet capitalized on strong play on Tuesday night to cruise to a 53-35 victory against the Zion Christian Academy Eaglettes.

The Lady Feet trampled the Eaglettes in the first quarter thanks to some powerful play in the paint by Josie Reyes. Reyes single-handedly outscored the Eaglettes 10-5 on the way to a 15-5 Webb lead at the end of the first.

The Lady Feet defense slipped a little during the second quarter as the Eaglettes were able to cut the Lady Feet's lead to 21-24 going into the half.

After the break, the Lady Feet turned up the tempo of the game and Eaglettes soon found themselves in a hole they couldn't get out of. After three quarters of play, the Lady Feet led 35-24.

While the first half was all about Reyes, the second half was all Nkem Ukoha. She scored 10 of her 14 points in the second half as the Lady Feet won the final frame 18-11.

The Lady Feet were able to win with not only pure power in the lane, as Reyes and Ukoha combined for 30 of the 53 total points, but the Lady Feet were also stellar from the stripe as they hit 10-of-12 free throws.

The Lady Feet host Community at 6 p.m. Saturday.
