The bride is the granddaughter of the late Edward Russell, Macie Russell of Lewisburg, the late Annette Nichols, and the late William Mitchell Nichols. The groom is the grandson of Harold and Clara Mae Overcast of Shelbyville, the late Charles Monce, and the late Janet Hardging.
The wedding ceremony was held the afternoon of Dec. 29, 2012, at the Fly Cultural Arts Building in Shelbyville. Jeffrey Haynes of Edgemont Baptist Church conducted the ceremony, which was double-ring. There were a limited number of guests.
Escorted by her father Charles Russell, the bride wore an ivory satin fit-and-flare gown with bow detail. She carried a bouquet of white carnations with ivory ribbon.
The bride was attended by her maid of honor and cousin, Katlynn Nichols of Murfreesboro.
Bridesmaids were: Morgan Saupe of Murfreesboro, a matron of honor and friend; Lacey Landers of Shelbyville, a friend; Hannah Lovvorn of Shelbyville, a friend; Samantha Dye of Shelbyville, a friend; and Sarah Garrett of Shelbyville, a friend. Kara Smith and Kailey Overcast of Shelbyville, nieces of the groom, were junior bridesmaids.
The Best man was Evan MacQuarrie, a friend from Nova Scotia. Groomsmen were: David Fry of Shelbyville, a friend; Brad Besednjak of Shelbyville, a friend; Luke Saupe of Murfreesboro, a friend; Adam Williams of Murfreesboro, a friend; and Mikie Overcast of Shelbyville, the groom's brother. Luke Overcast of Shelbyville, the groom's nephew, was junior groomsman.
Ushers were John Saupe of Murfreesboro, a friend, and Zach Nichols of Shelbyville, a cousin of the bride. Guestbook attendants were Heather McAmis of Shelbyville, a friend, and Elsie Krinsky of Shelbyville, a friend.
A reception, at the Fly Cultural Arts Building, followed the ceremony, and was hosted by the bride and the groom.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal the night before the wedding at the Fly.
The bridal shower was hosted by Angela Russell, Linda Dye and Charlotte Overcast in Shelbyville. A Pamper the Bride Shower was hosted by the bridesmaids in Murfreesboro.
The couple will make their home in Rutherford County.
