Lowe, Smith engagement announced

Jim and Meta Lowe of Kemptville, Ontario, Canada, announce the engagement of their daughter Kathryn Weleda Lowe to Capt. Kenneth Justin Smith, son of John and Peggy Graham of Shelbyville and Kenneth Smith of Unionville.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Jim and Joyce Lowe, and Henri and Elizabeth Bolsterli, all of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

She is an honor graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and a 2008 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Ottawa, where she received degrees in Health Sciences and Biochemistry. She is currently the legal advisor at Second Harvest in Nashville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of John T. and Mary Mills of Shelbyville and Gene and Laura Ruth Smith of Unionville.

He is a 2002 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School, and a 2006 Magna Cum Laude graduate of University of Memphis where he received degrees in Military Science and Journalism. Currently serving in the Army, he is a Battalion Aviation Officer for 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.

The couple has set their wedding date for Saturday, Feb. 16 at Union Station in Nashville.
