Harris Middle School's Golden Eaglettes claimed the Central Tennessee Conference Tournament championship with a 40-36 victory over Franklin County South at Coffee County Middle School on Saturday evening.
The Eaglettes (15-3) were the regular season conference champs as well.
Harris led 10-9 at the close of the first quarter and posted a 19-14 advantage at the intermission.
Seventh-grade point guard Jenna Holt scored six of her team-high 15 points in the third quarter as the Eaglettes outscored South 12-7 to hold a 31-21 advantage going into the fourth quarter.
Romny Felts netted seven points, Emma Haynes contributed six and Keely Smith, Erin Thompson and Kenzie Hobbs each added four to round out the scoring for the winners.
Randasha Reedus scored 15 points for South while Sydney Ingle pitched in 10.
"I'm very proud of these girls. To win both the conference regular season and tournament says a lot about this team," Harris coach Misty Thompson said.
"That was our goal and it's always great to be able to achieve your goals."

With the win the Eaglettes advance to play Kenwood tonight at 6:45 in Clarksville.
After playing to a 5-all tie at the end of the first quarter, Harris outscored Stewart's Creek 22-4 in the second quarter to take control of the game and post a 27-9 lead at halftime and a 38-21 advantage going into the fourth quarter.
Holt and Kenzie Hobbs paced the winners with a dozen points each while Emma Haynes contributed nine.
Brinae Alexander's 14 points was tops for Stewart's Creek.
