Friday, April 5, 2013

Harris Middle fell 10-1 at Franklin County North on Wednesday.

The Eagles were held to only two hits, singles by Colt Williams and Avery Brown.

Jake Mathis went the distance for North with five strikeouts

Crawford Baker, Winston Caine and Colt Williams pitched for Harris, combining to give up eight hits, five walks and three strikeouts.

"We just were not ready to play tonight. North is a good solid team and we were not ready to battle. With this being Spring Break Week and us having some time off, I think really hurt us," Eagle coach Bill Woods said.

"We struggled tonight doing things that we had been doing a good job of up to this point. When you make as many mistakes as we did tonight and not hit on top of that, it's a recipe for disaster."

Harris 5-2 (3-2) hosts Community this evening at 5.
