The motorcycle driver who was alive at the scene of a Haley Road crash Saturday which killed a passenger died Sunday, authorities said.
Robert John Pendlebury, 56, of Wartrace lost control of the westbound Harley Davidson STC motorcycle on a sharp curve appoximately three-fourths of a mile east of Three Forks Bridge, State Trooper Chad McAnally said.
Pendlebury and Decaestecker Catarina Legoaec, 53, of Wartrace were thrown from the motorcycle into a grove of trees. Legosec was dead at the scene.
Pendlebury was taken by Bedford County Emergency Medical Service to a field at the Haley Road-Cannon Road intersection, where a Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter flew him to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
Speed is listed as a factor in McAnally's accident report.
