Wilma Lavenia Smith Pinkston

Mrs. Wilma Lavenia Smith Pinkston, 94, of Shelbyville died September 20, 2013. Wilma was one of 11 children, born to Sally and Norman Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hall Pinkston and her son David Michael Pinkston, siblings, Gordon, Benford, Harold, Lytle, Edwin Smith and Mary Westbrooks.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Hall (Anne) Pinkston, two grandchildren, Jon Kenneth (Aline) Pinkston and Alison Kathryn (Earl) Stovall, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marie (Charles) Sledge, Ann (Edmon) Windrow and two brothers, Ellis (Katherine) Smith and Marion (Mary) Smith.

The family will gather for Graveside Service on Monday, September 23rd at 10:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1802 Madison St., Shelbyville, TN. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 Noon at Whiteside United Methodist Church, 2400 Midland Rd., Shelbyville, TN. Visitation will follow. The Rev. Scotty Sorrells and Rev. David McIntyre will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Whiteside United Methodist Church, 2400 Midland Rd., Shelbyville, TN 37160 or Martin Methodist College Scholarship Fund, 433 West Madison St., Pulaski, TN 38478.
