Tony Anderson, a 17-year-old senior at Shelbyville Central High School, received a special Christmas gift from his fitness family last week as an acknowledgement of his personal character and dedication.

"I decided I wanted to do something special for one of my members this year," said Matt Griffy, owner of MG Sports & Fitness. "Those that know Tony know he's an awesome guy with a huge heart. I've never seen Tony without a smile on his face and something positive to say."

Anderson maintains top grades, and rarely misses a chance to work out, as health and fitness remain a top priority for this driven student.

Griffy wanted to reward Anderson for hard work and surprised in last week with an early Christmas present -- a box filled with several healthful treats (protein bars, shakes and cookies), supplements, fitness wear, headphones for working out, and a one-year free gym membership.

"Friends and members like Tony truly bless my life," Griffy said. "He truly works so hard for everything he does in life. He never asks for anything from anyone, and he would do whatever he could to help someone.

"This gift was something he truly deserved."
