Columbia stops SC

Despite a quality effort, Shelbyville Central fell 2-0 at Columbia in a District 8-AAA soccer match on Thursday night.

The Lions scored once in the first and added another in the second.

"I think for the most part we dominated possession and had great effort throughout the whole game," Central coach Chris Fritz said. "We passed really well and we created a number of opportunities but we just didn't finish them. Jamie Groves really did a good job on defense for us tonight."

Shelbyville returns to action on Tuesday night at Riverdale at 6.
