Letter to the Editor

Letter to the editor, Nov. 2, 2014

Sunday, November 2, 2014

Dear Editor and Citizens of Tennessee,

I am excitedly writing to you from the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island.

I am a seventh grade student attending Goff Junior High School in Pawtucket, R.I. For my geography class we are steadily working on a semester-long project in which we are responsible for creating a oral, written and poster project on a particular U.S. state. I quickly chose to do my report on Tennessee.

I was wondering if you could please publish my letter in your newspaper so that your readers could help me out with my project? My teacher recently explained to my class that first-hand information from citizens living on our chosen state would be much more helpful than anything we could get out of textbooks or the Internet.

If your readers could kindly send me some information, pictures or tourist information it would greatly help me with my project. Your readers can send information to me right to my school. Thanks so much for your help.

Sincerely,

Sophia L.
