The Community Vikings went toe to toe with the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars on Thursday night, taking a two-goal lead into the second half and holding on to win 2-1.

The first half was all about offense for the Vikes as they were able to score both of their goals in the first 15 minutes.

Strong defense

The Cougars finally managed to score in the opening minutes of the second half, but the Vikes played outstanding defense to hold onto their lead.

With just under 12 minutes to go, the Vikings'goalkeeper came up with a big stop to ice the Cougars and end their chance for a tie.

The Vikings maintained their defensive intensity for the last 10 minutes of the game, keeping the Cougars from taking a final shot.
