Central drops 2 at Cookeville

COOKEVILLE -- Shelbyville Central dropped a pair of Hall of Fame games at Cookeville on Thursday evening with the Eaglettes falling 43-31 while the Eagles fell behind early and could never recover in a 82-36 loss.

Kyleigh Hardy paced the Eaglettes with 11 tallies, including six points in the fourth stanza.

Jennifer Martin joined in double figures with 10 points.

Cookeville was 13-of-26 from the charity stripe compared to Shelbyville Central's 4-of-9 night.

Eagles

In the boys contest, sharp-shooting Cookeville connected on 10 3-pointers,

The winners posted leads of 27-7 at the end of the opening frame, 51-18 at the intermission and 69-31 after three periods.

David Parsons led the Eagles in scoring with nine points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Roger Pryor netted eight with Jamal Harden adding seven.

Shelbyville Central plays another Hall of Fame Game on Saturday at noon at Siegel.
