Write to Santa!

No matter how cold the night is, one can't help but be warmed by the Christmas lights at Calsonic Arena and H.V. Griffin Park. A drive past them is well worth the time. (T-G Photo by David Melson)

The Times-Gazette is again accepting and publishing letters to Santa Claus, a decades-old tradition in Bedford County.

Letters may be e-mailed to santa@t-g.com, mailed to Shelbyville Times-Gazette, P.O. Box 380, Shelbyville TN 37162, or brought by our offices at 323 East Depot Street. The deadline is noon Dec. 11, so that we have time to put the letters into our computer system and plan for the space to publish them. Please pay close attention to the deadline.

  • All letters must contain the child's full name.
  • Letters must have a return address (which will not be published).
  • Letters must be legible.
  • Letters should be the words of children, not parents. By this same principle, we discourage the writing of letters on behalf of infants or children too young to understand the concept of writing to Santa.
