Salute Magazine is boost for county

Thursday, March 10, 2016

Salute Magazine's 2016 edition will arrive soon.

The Times-Gazette is wrapping up production on the fifth annual magazine. Salute is printed each spring on behalf of the Shelbyville & Bedford County Chamber of Commerce, which uses it as its lead promotional publication.

"We're determined to make this issue of Salute our best yet," said magazine and Times-Gazette editor Sadie Fowler. "The magazine provides a fast glance at the best of Bedford County.

"We hope to help attract more businesses, industries and residents to the county and serve as a handy reference for everyone, even locals."

Salute will be displayed at local businesses, including the Chamber office, all year long and will also be available for free online at the Times-Gazette and the Chamber websites. More than 4,500 copies were distributed in 2015 at almost 150 locations.

T-G staff members and Chamber officials work together to determine the magazine's content.

Chamber CEO Allen Pitner encourages local businesses and manufacturing companies to secure their advertising space in this year's Salute to promote their firms and support the growth of Bedford County.

Ad space is very limited and the deadline is quickly approaching. To be included contact Sissy Smith by Friday at 931-684-1200.
