Shelbyville Officer Brock Horner reports that while he was helping a loss prevention employee retrieve $61.81 in merchandise from the purse of the subject, Amber Nichols, he noticed a small plastic baggie with a smoking pipe and a prescription bottle. The bottle had a small clear baggie with what appeared to be powdered methamphetamine, the report states. There was a small tissue with two amphetamine tablets. The methamphetamine was field tested and came back positive, the report states.

Horner reports he placed Nichols under arrest on charges of simple possession of a Schedule II drug, possession of a Schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and shoplifting.

Throwing gravel

Shelbyville Police Officer Rod Stacy reported to the North Main Street Sonic Drive-In restaurant around 3:35 p.m. Sunday on a vandalism call. Three vehicles in the back parking lot had damage.

One vehicle owner said she and the others had been working when a customer told them about the vehicles being damaged. A silver or gold Chevrolet truck with big tires and a light bar is alleged to have pulled into an adjoining gravel driveway and started spinning its tires, throwing gravel and hitting the victims' vehicles.
