Lora Etta Bingham
Funeral service for Lora Etta Bingham, age 75, of Shelbyville, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Jeff Rasnick officiating and Dee McCullough speaking. Burial will follow in Rosebank Cemetery. Mrs. Bingham passed from this life Monday morning, April 17, 2017 at Celebration Way surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
Lora Etta Bingham was born January 23, 1942 in Bedford County to the late Lacy Gowan Mullins, Sr. and the late Esther Murray Mullins and is preceded in death by; husband, Jerry Lee Bingham; and brothers-in-law, Avery Roberts and Dee McCullough, Sr.
Mrs. Bingham worked as a banker for Peoples-Dominion Bank for 25 years. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed antiquing, shopping, singing, and loved to smile, laugh and enjoy life, most of all she loved her family.
Survivors include son Roger (Kathy) Bingham of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Joe Newman of Lewisburg, Benji Newman and Lindsay (Charles) Brandon and Laura (Kenneth) Reed, all of Shelbyville; brother, Lacy “Bud” (Wanda) Mullins of Flat Creek; sisters Donna (Ralph) Kennemer of Lynchburg, Norma Lynn McCullough of Shelbyville, Virginia Roberts of Shelbyville; and many nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
