Help the rich

To the editor,

Gov. Haslam is finally having fun. Too bad it is at taxpayer's expense. I think his secret is that he has learned how to communicate with his "tax cuts for the rich" Republican State Legislators. With The Improve Act, they finally have Tennessee number one in the country in corporate giveaways, incentives, and tax cuts.

The Governor and the Legislature give Fortune 500 businesses our taxpayer dollars to come here whether they bring good paying jobs for Tennesseans or not.

They claim corporate giveaways stimulate growth but how does VW bringing in foreigners for less than half wages stimulate our economy? And on top of that they have the gall to eliminate the Hall Tax which is a tax on multi-millionaires and increase the gas tax, and you know who pays that.

Is this robbing of Citizen Peter to pay Corporate Paul ever going to stop? It will if you vote them out next year. Otherwise get ready to start paying for their private schools and their quality healthcare. And they will continue to brag about shrinking the government and when they do you need to keep a tight grip on your wallet because they never shrink the bad parts.

David Clark,
