Drug suspect allegedly sells meth
A drug suspect is being held on $145,000 bond after his arrest Thursday.
James Donald McBride, 26, of Turning Leaf Court allegedly sold approximately two grams of ICE methamphetamine to an informant working with the 17th Judicial Drug Task Force, court documents indicate.
Bullet hits house
One gunshot was fired through the living room window of a Sevier Street home early Thursday night,
The residents told police they thought it was fireworks until they noticed bullet holes in a living room window and wall.
No spent rounds were found near the home, police said.
A man termed a “regular customer” ignored clerks’ yells and walked away from Serv-N-Go Market, Union Street, without paying for his 12-pack of Bud Light Mang-O-Rita beer.
The suspect, described to police as “an older white male with a long, gray ponytail,” was last seen walking west on Union Street.
Pot, plant stolen
A large fern plant in a stone pot was stolen Thursday from the parking lot of Shelbyville Carpet Co., Madison Street, police were told.
The plant and pot, valued at a total of $80, was taken between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

•Christopher Rashal Jefferson, 29, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; failure to appear, bondsman surrender; held, $7,500 bond
•Dallas Wraith Keller, 22, Gainesboro; vandalism; released on recognizance
•Jimmy Marvin Matney Jr., 43, Halls Mill Road; driving on revoked license (fifth offense); released, $3,000 bond
•Noel Marie Mattice, 32, Lindbergh Lane; violation of probation; released, $7,500 bond
