Adorable kids contest nears

Submissions will open Friday for the Times-Gazette’s annual “Adorable Christmas Kids” photo contest, sponsored by the Times-Gazette, Heritage Jewelers and Little Eagles Nest child care.

The contest invites readers to submit Christmas-themed photos of children, which are then voted on by readers.

Additional sponsors are DSC Sanitation and Domino’s.

Rowen, submitted by Ferrari West, was last year’s second place winner.

How to enter

To submit photos, look for the “Adorable Christmas Kids” button on the Times-Gazette home page,, starting Friday, or go to Contest submissions will continue through Dec. 20.

Information about voting will be announced soon.

First prize will be a $200 gift card from Heritage Jewelers, while second prize will be a $100 gift card from Heritage Jewelers.

Please only submit photos of children to whom you’re related. Possible subjects or settings include children with Santa, children in front of the tree, gifts being opened, kids looking at Christmas decorations, baking holiday cookies or enjoying a parade.

Professional or copyrighted photos may only be submitted with the prior approval of the photographer.

From anytime

Photos can be new or old, from this Christmas season or years past.

Last year, a photo of Remington Gage Oliver, submitted by his mother Kacey Oliver, was the first place winner, with Ferrari West’s photo of Rowen coming in second.

The contest is not endorsed by or affiliated with Facebook.

The Times-Gazette will publish the winners and several pages of the top vote-getting photos on Dec. 24.
