SCHS FFA students compete in events

On Thursday, March 1, the Bedford County FFA Chapter of Shelbyville Central High School competed in the District X Agriculture Mechanics CDE held at the Shelbyville Central High School CTE Annex. The team placed 1st in the District.

Rafter Cutting-Mariana Ochoa-2nd place in District

Board Fitting-Jamie Atwood-3rd place in District

Plumbing-Braden York-2nd place in District

Arc Welding-Lawson Lemmon-4th place in District

Land Area Elevation-Allison McCarty and Gracie Parker-1st place in District

Small Engine Repair-Kelsey Warren-2nd place in District

Land Area Measurement-Rhiannon Overcast and Bailey McCormick-2nd place in District

Cutting Torch-Emily Crabtree-2nd place in District

Tool Identification-Allison Sanders-2nd place in District

Electrical-Lindsey Stephens-2nd place in District

Regional competition

On Saturday, March 17, the chapter traveled to Murfreesboro to compete in the Middle Tennessee FFA Regional Agriculture Mechanics CDE that was held at Riverdale High School. The team placed 5th in the Middle Tennessee FFA Region. Those members who competed were:
