Thanks to the volunteers

To the Editor:

The week of April 15th-21st is National Volunteer Week! I just wanted to take a moment to give a much deserved recognition and big shout to our wonderful and amazing hospice volunteers! As I’ve recently told our volunteers, words just seem to fail me at times to convey how truly special they are to me and to our hospice program. They are selfless folks who give so freely of their time of service to others. I have no idea who wrote this quote… ‘The last good thing that may happen in a person’s life is a hospice volunteer’ but I couldn’t agree more! The love, compassion and empathy I see is quite simply a beautiful thing.

Thank you our beloved Compassus patient care, administrative Volunteers and all hospice volunteers across the land. You are true blessing to all of those lives you touch and you will never be forgotten.

Most sincerely from a grateful volunteer coordinator and staff!
