Harris enters win column

Harris Middle School’s Golden Eagles picked up their first win of the season with a 22-8 victory over visiting Warren County in a Central Tennessee Conference matchup on Tuesday evening at the Eagles Nest.

The Eagles (1-3, 1-2 CTC) jumped out to a 22-0 advantage before the Pioneers scored late in the game.

Caden Thomas scored first for Harris on a 10-yard run along with the two-point conversion for he 8-0 lead.

Landon McCrosky ended a Warren County drive late in the first half with an interception.

Justin Oakes scored on a 25-yard run and also scored the two-point conversion to put the Eagles up 16-0.

Harris Middle’s final score was a 10-yard run by Isah Alexander scored on a 10 yard run.

The Eagles face White County on the road on Tuesday in another conference battle.
