After firmly holding onto the game’s momentum on Thursday night against visiting Moore County, Cascade held on through a rough fourth quarter to claim a 30-19 win.

Through much of the game, Cascade looked to be in cruise control.

The Lady Champs scored 11 points in the first quarter and led 19-6 after out-scoring the visitors 8-0 in the second frame.

Cascade held Moore County scoreless for a second-consecutive quarter in the third, while tacking on another seven of it own.

But a bevy of whistles allowed the Raiderettes to slow the game and fight back into the game in the fourth quarter.

As a team, the Raiderettes shot 11 of 24 attempts to claw back into the game.

Though Moore County trimmed the Cascade lead to single figure within a minute to play, Cascade was able to hold on for the final 11-point win.

Eve Spiers led the Lady Champs with eight points in the win, while Ava Butts chipped in seven.

Paisley Logan and Madison Dingler each scored six to lead Moore County.
