Adorable Christmas Kids contest accepting entries

Sunday, December 2, 2018
Amanda Marie Dye of Shelbyville submitted the winning entry in last year’s “Adorable Christmas Kids” contest.

Submissions are now open for the Times-Gazette’s annual “Adorable Christmas Kids” photo contest, which invites readers to submit Christmas-themed photos of children. Talk Of The Town Boutique and Children’s Shop, on the south side of the square, is a sponsor of the contest. Domino’s and DSC Sanitation are additional sponsors.

Readers will vote on their favorite photos, and two winners will be selected. Prizes will be announced soon.

Photo submissions will be open through Dec. 19. Go to to enter. Only online submissions will be accepted.

Kacey Smith Oliver submitted the second-place entry in last year’s contest.

Voting opens Dec. 9

Voting will start Dec. 9 and will also continue through Dec. 19. Remember, the sooner you submit your photo, the more opportunities you have to receive votes. Past winners have been successful in rallying friends and family to vote. Only one vote is allowed per person per day. We will be watching for attempts to game the system, and reserve the right to disqualify any entrant we suspect of violating the rules of the contest. Complete contest rules are available at the website.

Selected photos, including the two winners, wil be published in a four-page special section in the Dec. 23 edition of the Times-Gazette.

Please only submit photos of children to whom you’re related. Possible subjects or settings include children with Santa, children in front of the tree, gifts being opened, kids looking at Christmas decorations, baking holiday cookies or enjoying a parade.

Professional or copyrighted photos may only be submitted with the prior approval of the photographer.

Photos can be new or old, from this Christmas season or years past.
