Abortion policies criticized

Thursday, April 11, 2019

To the Editor:

As of now, eight states (plus the District of Columbia) allow the murder of the unborn up to birth, including Alaska, Colorado, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, New York.

The Democrat party has become the radical abortion party. The Democrat Governor of Virginia says the mother has the right to kill her baby AFTER the baby is born.

Here is what Gov. Northam of Virginia said on a WTOP radio program: "The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated i that's what the mother and family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between mother and physician." This statement was also printed in the Faith and Coalition paper.

What kind of moral condition do we find our nation? We can legally kill unborn children, but some are lobbying for the removal of the death penalty for convicted criminals. What is wrong with this picture?

In Genesis 1:26, the Bible reads, "And God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.'" This "our" is God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We are made in His image.

How do you think man or woman is going to fare when they stand before the judgment after killing an unborn child? I understand there are rare occasions that an abortion may need to be performed, but abortion on demand has got to stop. There are always consequences for all our actions. Many people are going to end up on the wrong side of eternity. This includes our politicians.

See you at the ballot box.
