President should be praised, not impeached

To the Editor:

The Mueller report has finally been finished after 2.5 years and $30 million of taxpayer money and 13 Democrat lawyers, one of which was H. Clinton's counsel. Yet he cannot reder a decision on whether there was obstruction of justice. I find that pitiful. Yet he throws it in the lap of Congress to make a determination! And that is just what the Democrats wanted. They want to continue chasing rabbits down rabbit holes for that elusive "smoking gun."

Now the Democrats are talking aboiut impeachment of a sitting President. You would have though they learned a lesson when Bill Clinton was impeached. Nothing good came of that impeachment. The country was torn apart.

And I want to know what Democrats are going to impeach President Trump for. Are they going to impeach him on the following?

1. Delivered the largest tax cut for the American people since President Reagan

2. Destroyed ISIS, which controlled an area in the Middle East the size of Indiana. ISIS has no caliphate now

3. Deported thousands of MS-13 violent gang members

4. Erased thousands of anti-business regulations that were crippling our economy

5. Appointed two great Supreme Court justices, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, plus 150 federal judges who are also constitutionalist

6. Turned America into an energy exporter by approving the Keystone XL and Dakota pipelines. Mad us energy independent in the process!

7. Reversed Obama's war against America's police so that we see crime decreasing instead of increasing. Big fan for law and order.

8. Removed mandate of the Affordable Care Act so people can choose insurance that suits their needs at much lower premiums

9. Has appointed Betsy DeVos to end the anti-Christian so-called Common Core curriculum that has produced outrageous behavior on our college campuses. The shutting down of conservative speech on campus can be traced back to Common Core.

10. Veterans have choices now to get care they need

11. Talks with North Korea to promote peace and removal of nuclear weapons.

12. Establishing new trade agreements with Canada, Mexico, South Korea, etc.

13. Rebuilding our military forces

14. Many jobs have been created

It seems to me President Trump has accomplished much for the American people. The American people should be thanking the president instead of talking about impeachment. So which one of these things is Congress going to impeach?

I think the time for crayons and coloring books is over. Congress needs to grow a spine and put on big boys' pants and get on with the work of immigration reform, building a southern border barrier, infrastructure, etc. If they don't, folks vote them out at the ballot box!

  • Love it! So seldom do we get to see positive reporting on our president. Enjoyed reading the article and it’s even better to see that all journalists are not sheep.

  • This man is a bully and in my opinion has done nothing but cause more debt, divided the country, and is a platform for the hate groups around the world. He is a male chauvinist and respects no one who disagrees with whatever he says. He talks down about women, veterans and a whole lot of folks must like his racist and degrading platform and agree with it. It is not the Hispanics that are causing the mass shootings, yet he chooses to talk like all the Hispanics are the reason for drugs, murders and all the bad things that are happening in this country. If a person that divides the country, ignores the hate groups, demoralizes women and veterans, has caused hate crimes to increase and has our allies laughing at us, then I guess that he is the right man for the job to most. As far as the new tax plan he implemented, it was for the rich and not the low income and middle class he claimed would benefit from the changes. President Obama wasn't perfect (no man is) but it least he was for 'all' people and not just for the rich.
