Be thankful, and avoid hate

To the Editor:

About 2 1/2 years ago, I reluctantly moved to Nashville to an assisted living home to be nearer to my children.

Phew! What a change in my life. After living 80-plus years in Bedford County, the transition was, and is, unbelievable.

It has made me realize what a blessing it was to live all of my ife in a smaller and better place. You people probably don't realize how lucky you are to live here. Nicer people, less cost of living, closer relation to our Heavenly Father, not as crowded, less hatred, more love, and so on. Think about it and give thanks for all you have and probably don't realize it.

Speaking of hatred, have you ever seen so much? It's got to stop, or we're going to lose our nation. God didn't make us this way; we did it on our own. Let's be more tolerant of each other. Let's quit looking for faults in each other and look and appreciate the good. Let's get back to God and obey Him.

I wish the best to all of you. Just remember: Appreciate where you live, love your family, and be thankful for our freedom and liberties. Thoe things were, and are, very expensive to those who sacrificed to keep them.
