Santa's watching for kids' letters

Friday, November 22, 2019

The Times-Gazette is again accepting and publishing letters from children to Santa Claus, a decades-old tradition in Bedford County.

Letters may be e-mailed to santa@t-g.com (preferred), mailed to Shelbyville Times-Gazette, P.O. Box 380, Shelbyville TN 37162, or brought by our offices at 323 E. Depot Street. The deadline is noon Friday, Dec. 13, so that we have time to put the letters into our computer system and plan for the space to publish them. Please pay close

attention to the deadline.

All letters must contain the child's full name.

Letters should have a return address (which will not be published), unless they are submitted through a school class. Letters must be legible.

Letters should be the words of children, not their parents. We strongly discourage submitting letters on behalf of infants or children too young to understand the concept of writing to Santa, and reserve the right not to publish them.

Many of our letters are submitted by teachers from their classrooms. Please submit the teacher's first and last name. We thank the many teachers who submit their children's letters each year.
