Micah Rasnick rolls away pandemic worries
Micah Rasnick has had a little time to spare lately, so rather than have idle hands, he turned to his kitchen. Since, his Facebook page has been filled with requests lately for his warm, cinnamon rolls right out of the oven.
“I have always enjoyed being in the kitchen, but have been getting more seriously into cooking over just the past three or four years,” Rasnick said. “The cinnamon rolls . . . new to me.”
The 25-year-old says that in March, he was given his sourdough starter and after trying a few other recipes along the way, he attempted his recent cinnamon rolls.
“My family is a huge fan of the cinnamon rolls my aunt makes, but with her living in another state, I was just hoping to make a fitting substitute.”
While Micah is humble, it’s apparent by the social media reviews that his rolls are a hit in Bedford County. He credits his family for the encouragement, especially during such a difficult time of COVID-19.
“I felt that I wanted to share them with other people as well. Last week, I delivered 15 pans, and so far this week, I’ve committed to 12 pans, with hopes to do a few more.”
His Facebook followers are in hopes for more, they say, as well.
