JEWELL L. BAILIFF FISHER

Funeral services for Jewell L. Bailiff Fisher, age 87, of Shelbyville, will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 at Fellowship For Christ Church with Brother Ray Armstrong and Jay Dearing officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Jewell passed from this life Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Vanderbilt-Bedford Hospital.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until service time starting at 2 p.m. at the church

Born May 19, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Bailiff and Myrtle Lowery Baliff. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40+ years, Gordon “Dave” Fisher; parents; brothers, Ralph Bailiff and Terry Bailiff; sisters, Louise Taylor and Mary Bailiff.

Jewell worked for Caperton’s Drug Store for many years. She then went on to help raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She volunteered at the nursing home and hospital in Shelbyville. Jewell attended Fellowship For Christ, where she and her husband Dave were founding members.

Survivors include: children, Jeweline (Ronnie) Fisher Segroves, Mike “Fish” Fisher and Juanita Fisher; brother, Odis Bailiff; grandchildren, Renee (David) Bomar Peace, Kim (Tommy) Segroves Joyce, Jeff (Amber) Segroves, Shannon (Jay) Fisher Dearing, Brett (Whitney) Fisher and Brad (Amy) McGee; great-grandchildren, Hunter (Rebekah) Joyce, Aliyah (Nick) Segroves Mears, Sydney Segroves, Zander Peace, Eli Dearing, Kendall Dearing, Jackson Davis, Piercen McGee, Kyler McGee and Byrnn Fisher; sister-in-law, Ruby Bailiff and brother-in-law, Walter Taylor; great-great-grandchildren, Laikynn and Greyson Mears; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Fellowship For Christ on Richdale Lane for the food pantry.
