  • I'm not sure when it opened but the Merry-Go-Round was open as early as 1950 because I knew someone who went there every afternoon in that year to drink beer. They had curb service at one time, and the BBQ was outstanding. It was as David says, the end of the line for cruising out that way, and it was thought to be a good ways out of town.
