  • Those walls will definitely look better covered in morning glories!

  • Anyone know if morning glories transplant well? I have about four different colors but they have become a weed to me, so I am happy to share.:-)

  • I hope everyone's garden survived the rains today. I was concerned that they might be too hard for my seedlings, but they all look fine.

My beets are finally starting to show, both plantings. I had tried planting some last year to see if they would come up in the spring, but I declared that experiment a failure and replanted about 10 days ago.

My new tub planter is ready for planting. I wanted to put a slicing tomato in there since it is close to the kitchen, but I have lost track of which tomato seedlings are which. I labelled them, but over a few weeks the lists got turned around.

  • Nice meeting folks! Thanks. Conversations started off with eating Maple seeds like snow peas and/or edamame, then progressed to more traditional discussions about our vegetable gardens, plant markers for the Garden on the Square, wildflowers, edible weeds and pond culture.

As a reminder to myself, I need to bring a few things to next meeting like, watercress transplants, edamame seeds, and a hibiscus I had been overwintering. Was there something else?

We decided on brick plant markers and plan to label about 30 of them next meeting with paint pens. Not sure what I will be able to do, since my writing competes with medical prescription script.
