  • I'm gonna try to be there, honest.

  • Someone asks about you each meeting so we would be extremely pleased to see you.

  • IF, (if) the practicing meteorologists are correct, there will be one more cold snap next Thursday night/Friday morning. Not a freeze (yet) but possibly in the 30's. After that, it appears we are finally off the roller coaster. (Not that I am asking for 100 degree weather)

Quantumcat, if you need a ride tonight. let me know early. Id you are not able to come, check for the hibiscus on your front entrance in the morning.

I already have that, the edamame, book and watercress in the car, so I should be caught up with the things I need to bring.

  • It's pretty rare for you to be giving edamame seeds away!

I was planning on going tonight but I can't make it. Tell everyone I said Hi!

  • You 110% correct espoontoon. Those are close to sacred but Barbara kept the pressure up. We would all love to see you. We have some new regular faces and some of the regulars who were away for a while are back.

I was surprised for the turn-out considering the bad weather. We were going to make brick markers for our plants on the square. The bricks were there but the marking supplies were not, so Judy took some home to work on.

It was a bit soggy when we broke up so I carried the hibiscus back home QC. I did not want to make a mistake and put it on the wrong front porch in my rush to stay dry. Next meeting?

An interesting side note learned at the meeting (at least to me) was that white vinegar is not made from organic base like apple vinegar. Thanks Sandy, I always preferred apple, but I never gave it a thought that white was actually a chemical mix.

Our discussion of vinegar came from cherokee2's comment about using "mother of vinegar" which is unpasteurized. In fact, I put some in my smoothie this morning. It's an acquired taste. :-)

  • cherokee2's wheat straw bales were a strong topic again last night. Even the "by-product" rotted straw was a admired.

  • Who won the book Steve? And I enjoyed myself muchly.

  • We decided to wait for next time, since we forgot until we were breaking up. I'll make up for it by bringing a second one as well.

As a reminder to myself, I need more watercress, Barbara's seeds, the hibiscus (again), and some cacti leaves.

  • I just now saw your post on the last meeting. If the hibiscus landed here,I missed it. (I missed all of y'all, too.) I've been busy moving across the parking lot to a smaller apartment. I'll be ready for all new outdoor decor! :) I hope to see y'all at the upcoming meeting. I may give y'all a holler if I need a ride. Have a great week!

  • Something told me not to just drop it off QC. I did not know you were moving, but the hibiscus will be coming back with me again this Friday.

If you need a ride, let me know ahead of time. I'll be probably coming in from somewhere and may not check my blog except for the morning.
