  • Sounds like we are well on our way to having the next two technical meetings filled with new talent and information. One of our members (Mg.Mark)has made a composting presentation for the Master Gardener program in Rutherford County for several years and has offered to share with us at the May 2nd meeting.

He also has a friend from the same group who has presented the Organic & Sustainable Gardening segment of their program and Mark will see if he is available for the June (First Friday" meeting.

Talk about a blessing! Their offer has made things look very bright and I will want to see what we are missing by not having a MG program in Bedford County. We don't, right?

  • Wow, thanks for the alert haybar. I have been so involved in getting the garden going that I overlooked that they should be passing through. Our HB visitors thank you also, I am SURE!

  • Yes, I have had my feeders out now for the past couple weeks, not knowing when they would start traveling up this way. I am alway.s on the lookout for good types of feeders, I think the best yet I found at the co-op. Glass bottle and has perch so they can rest and lots of spaces for multiple visitors.

  • So,the next meeting is Good Friday-or will it be the 25th or in May?

    I'm sorry I missed our first get-together.

I may very well be absent April 18 too due to a family gathering but I think I should be free on the second of May.

    I MISS you guys!

  • Sorry for the late response. Been overloaded for the past week.

The next "social" meeting is coming up this Friday, the 3rd Friday, April 18th. It is planned that we will meet at Legends Restaurant in Shelbyville at 6:30 PM.

    No formal program is planned.

Yes, it has been a while QC. Hope you can make it for sure on the second of May!
