  • I'm with you on Alaska living, the time change and 24hr daylight would have me feeling like I was living on another planet.

I have harvested so many seeds from tomato, squash, and cuke-melons the last few months that there will be plenty to go around and then some. I still have a few tomatoes that have just ripened and should go beautiful with the leftover ham slices for a good sandwich come Friday. I'll be sitting home that day regardless of great buys begging me to spend all my moola.

Hope that little kitty life progresses to a beautiful full grown rat catcher...did it's mother have a large litter?

  • She had a total of four. Two disappeared but she might have taken them into our many caves and holes around our garage. One died but it looked healthy and well fed so when this one started looking puny I brought it in and started some antibiotics.

I am not sure if mom left her behind or was coming in to nurse her and did not want to take the chance. Her aunts and uncles were keeping her warm but if they were not lactating they could not help feed her so....

With her stuffy nose and eyes I wanted complete her antibiotics and was also afraid they might take her away like the others, then she would get no medical attention,

Whew, her eye drops and antibiotics added up to over $60. I gotta start a soecial eBay account and website just to support the strays. I'm calling it caringforpaws but have not done anything with it yet. Other life is demanding attention NOW.

  • Having some health issues fade away...Feline or Human...Reflects the most important reason to be thankful today and everyday. Without health most everything else pales in comparison.......

For that reason I am playing Santa and filling stockings with......

    Yes....You read that right.......

Recently while researching studio lighting I came across a bulb used in museums to illuminate the true color of paintings...Think the Mona Lisa......... These bulbs come with the secondary attribute of producing that " blue " light that takes away the Winter doldrums and helps boost us out of our " blue " mood.

So, I ordered a bunch and will keep my fingers crossed that no-one near me will have a " Blue Christmas "............

So happy, Steve, that " Mommy " is feeling better.... Kitty too.....

  • Is the light they use (sometimes) at salad bars similar? I know some really make the veggies stand out.

I use St Johns Wort to help me through the blues. Noticed a big difference with one in the morning and one at night
