Wood cutting time again and I am behind!
We have had a hectic two weeks but tomorrow will have many reasons to be thankful.
Some of you with the garden club know that I missed the last social because of health issues in our family. At 96 Mommy decided it was time to make her second trip to a hospital. The last one was over 50 years ago.
The short of it is that she is coming out today.
I am nursing. Well.... not physically but we have a 3 week old kitten who was sick and stopped nursing with her Mom, so we brought her in, giving her some antibiotics and she is back on the feed with a mixture of milk and kitten mix for nutrients.
The greenhouse is overcrowded with rescue plants from the garden. What was I thinking? Guess I just did not want summer to end.
But speaking of that. it is only 26 days to Winter Solstice. Winter Solstice is the shortest daylight day of the year which means...... the days start getting longer after that and longer days means Spring!
I know, I know, I am getting hyped up about a little thing but for someone who is positively affected by daylight and a gardener, it is great to anticipate. I would literally go bonkers in Alaska.
