Are other people's cats a little squirrelly lately?

  • It was not as bad last night, but I woke up with my clothes scattered and the refrain from the Steve Miller Band 'Jungle Love' running over and over. "Jungle love, it's driving me mad

    It's making me crazy, crazy"

  • Last night was a direct hit to the stomach. I could not stay quiet and Deb thought I was a goner. (So did I for a brief moment)

We have an open design roof area that passes air through the upper story, but that ma have to be altered.

  • Could be the catnip.....

Earl has been very squirrelly lately...I've had company the last few days and she kept taking the comb that was left on the bathroom sink to other parts of the house almost as to say "this is my territory."

It could definitely be the moon...full moons are a license to race full speed knocking things whack and jumping around crawling up the walls according to "Earl" the cat!

  • We used to have catnip growing like weeds but now I have to have the few existing plants protected by wire. Even if i take cuttings to start new plants, they need to be in a 'no-cat' zone or they will be decimated.

The one I have outside is in a white food container that has chicken over the top. The cats get up on it and squiggle around until the wire collapses and they get closer to the 'nip.

They don't seem to care that the full moon has passed. Crazy.

  • My cats are chewing the strings off of our shoes, electronics wires and sound like a herd of something really LARGE at about 2 am each night. My dog has learned to hate the two cats now. My husband is not far behind.
