To all affected by this infamous date and The United States of America.
Cannot type that date without remembering. I hope everyone pauses to remember not only these victims but those affected by that day.
I could not find an actual credit for the picture attached here but the closest I could get was this website http://www.sept11thmemorial.com/images/MrRuffles_911.jpg
I did not know a way to get that across better so....
The meeting will start at 6:30 at the UT AG Extension office on Midland Street in Shelbyville. There is a lot to discuss as our gardens head into Fall, W****r (can't bring myself to type the word) and SPRING!
Actually, there is a lot to do now for next year and a lot that can be done NOW for a Fall/W****r garden as well. Ah, Winter is OK, but I am not looking forward to anything harsh. :-)
There is a nice little discussion going on over at our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/Weede.and.Reap/1692439737656652/?comment_id=1692... about using bales for creating compost bins and growing beds for the colder months.
The bales do at least three main things.
1. They insulate the material inside the bales, which in the case of compost, helps it compost faster.
2. They will support a cover such as glass, plastic or just spun-bond, non-woven material for cold and insect protection
3. They will decompose and provide great mulch or compost (depending on how much they rot down).
Anyway,... our meeting is Friday.
