  • We have several choices in dealing with these guys but none that I like better than coexisting. Tonight I sat playing with the kittens while Olivia crunched more food.

Without seeing them I can tell when it is an opossum eating or cat. Their mouth cavity accentuates the crunch sound. I'm sure you wanted to know that, right?

Possums are God's children too. We once had a mama possum with 3 babies attached to her back waddle up the back steps to eat cat food.

  • Yup, and babies are cute no matter what. They deserve a chance at life.

Now if I catch them harming the cats, or I know they are transmitting a disease, we'll have to rethink things but over the past 23+ years we seem to have shared the same space with no major issues

They will be peaceful with the cats. Raciins are a different story tho.
