I doubt it changed many peoples mind. Overall they did well. Not much to either hurt or help. I am still undecided but leaning heavily toward Trump. No matter who wins they should incorporate Fiorinas idea of zero based budget. At least most of the participants at this debate understand that money does not grow on trees.

Trump is still number one in my book!

When he has to explain anything his says, he just makes it more understandable.

I do not understand all the talk about changing the Tax Laws and even doing away with taxes.

Only congress can lay and collect taxes according to the constitution.

Only the Legislative Branch of Government can make and change laws not some President or wanna be president.

I did love the fact that they all want to beat Hillary.

I don't think Hillary is a problem any more, she just doesn't know it yet!

  • I thought debate 4 was the first one to start to shed light on the faraway election, and the challenges of selecting an electable candidate from a coalition party. There is no single message emanating from the so-called Republican Base, but rather a myriad of messages, many of them mutually exclusive... We have the isolationists and those who want to project our military power worldwide. We have some calling for a wall and mass deportations, while others want a path to citizenship. The Republicans have too many issues, where different factions are diametrically opposed. With the entire coalition only about equal in numbers with the Democrats, they can ill afford a candidate that adopts a platform that another bloc of the party will absolutely not vote for. And this is without the consideration that extreme stances will drive off large segments of the unaligned independent voters.

So, it is no surprise that the foundation of the Republican strategy has to be demonizing Obama and Clinton. They have to create a climate of fear sufficient to compel a significant portion of that contumacious base to vote for a candidate who represents the antithesis of their personal beliefs. The greatest threat to that strategy is that too many people will notice that we are not actually in a national crisis, and things are actually going along pretty well.

As far as Trump and Carson are concerned, the GOP has to hope they are just the "flavor of the month" favorites. At this point, it is pretty obvious that Trump brings nothing to the table except 8th grade repartee and pipe dreams. He has had plenty of chances to show more than he had in the first debate. It seems obvious at this point that this is all he has. His only recommendation is his supposed business acumen. For all his high opinion of himself, Trump is a classic case of someone being born on third and thinking he hit a triple. Carson is a different matter. If Trump is the guy I would least want to be in the same room with, Carson would be the one I would most like to eat dinner with. Clearly he is a smart guy, with impressive accomplishments. He has to be fascinating.... but, as a presidential candidate, he just says too many outright crazy things. We really need a president with at least one foot in reality.

It will be really interesting to see how this all develops.

Lazarus, you are close to the right track but not quite pulling into the station. The national crises (or near-crises if you prefer) have been years in the making. The economy/prolonged recession /national debt/unemployment and nonparticipation rate. National security /terrorism /Iraq getting the bomb /Putin slapping us in the face. The porous non-borders. The war against police. And just recently the war against the first amendment. We have plenty of things to worry about. The reason Trump and Carson are doing so well is because they are outsiders. I doubt most people believe they will actually be able to do everything they say. But we do believe they will try. And it is past time for DC to be shaken ( not stirred). Trump is our best bet for making America great again.

  • I still like Carson for the nomination. I think Trump will be very easy to marginalize against Hillary by an obviously bias media. They will hold back on this as long as he is in the lead.

But, Carson constitutes a real threat. Of course, they want to show him as a nut, now, before he gets nominated. If they put Hillary under the same scrutiny as Carson, she would be decimated. However, right now they do not have to do that because they are not direct opponents at this time. If they (Hillary and Carson) do become the nominees, then the bias will become even more obvious, then media loses even more credibility, viewers, and money

As to the idea that we are going allowing pretty well right now. I think that depends on what your idea of "pretty well" is. It seems most would equate that to the economy. If I get in financial trouble, unable to pay my bills, then I can get along "pretty well" for a while by borrowing what I need. Unfortunately, that is a temporary fix to a permanent problem. The permanent problem in this case is the propagation of plundering. This problem, if not corrected, will eventually lead to financial ruin as it always does, and already has in strongly held Democratic cities and States.

Politicians and used car salesman both have a reputation of being less than honest. Giving them the benefit of a doubt,, maybe, they just don't know the truth and therefore can't present it to us. If Obama had said, " I will double the national debt, dramatically increase immigration, pass forced government controlled insurance, increase social division, and facilitate attacks against the first and second amendments", all of which have happened under his administration, would he still have been elected?

The silent majority is the key to this election. If they can be motivated to responsibly cast their vote, then there is a chance for real change, and a beginning to stopping the plunder of the people by the government. Carson has the better chance of anyone at this point being able to do that.

Not matter what, or who gets elected, the reality is that the correction for all the plundering is going to be painful and raise a loud howl from those who are receiving the plunder. This is inevitable, not fear tactics, just truth, as has been demonstrated repeatedly throughout history. If you don't grasp this truth for what it is, then you have no real grasp on financial reality. This, most likely, is because you are one of the beneficiaries of the plunder.

  • We need a president who is in touch with reality.Carson has his own make believe CIA that tells him what the rest of the world don't know.He is now trying to walk back his statement during the debate "the Chinese are in Syria".Carson will only get the white evangelical vote because he says just what they want to hear and it sells books. And that is that whites are always right and black culture is wrong,he argues for the confederate flag, confirms all bias against black people except himself. He was the one who saved white people at Yale the day Dr King was killed from the angry blacks by locking them in the lab.None of his classmates or professor knows anything about this. All this is important because it speaks to his character which is all he has to run on.This is one time I agree with Trump that he has a pathological disease and people are stupid for believing this crap.

LBR?, instead of being racist maybe you are a reverse racist. You don't think Carson is black because he doesn't fit the left-tard stereotype. He is successful and doesn't rely on the government to take care of himself or his family. What kind of character does a person have when they lie about being under fire from a sniper or who is responsible for four dead Americans?

-- Posted by fair share on Fri, Nov 13, 2015, at 1:49 PM
  • Really LBR? Racism,, again?? It seems every single one of your posts revolves around racism and always persecutes whites, or points the conspiratory finger at whites, and yet, you don't see yourself as racist, even when others clearly point it out to you. That is really incredible! But, it is indicative of the narrative used to obtain blind allegiance to the Democrat party. SMH

  • Fair Share. I owe you an apology, I thought you lived in the same country that I do. You should move here. (half the world wants to). We have cheap gas and the roads are filled with vehicles. Our grocery stores have shelves full of food, anything you want, any time you want it. There are jobs for those who want them, and opportunities for those who are resourceful enough to find them.

Sure, there are challenges. The world has its share of turmoil, which is nothing new. But we are as safe here as any people, who have ever lived, have been, anywhere on this planet. The computer age is changing our world almost faster than we can adapt, but most of those changes are making our lives easier than ever before.

I am sorry to hear that your nation is in a crisis. I hope things work out for ya'll.

Trump is the man we need as our new president. He doesn't need defending, he does that quit well all by himself.

Everyone needs to take a good long look at what just happened in Paris. These terrorists came out of Syria with the refugees and went to Paris before France SHUT THEIR GATES to the undocumented immigrants.

Obama has them coming to America by the 100,000s with no idea of who they are. Even our Security Agents are warning us against the threat of Isis coming into America with the refugees.

Trumps answer is to ship the illegal aliens, undocumented immigrants and refugees back to where they came from.

We must do this or we will never be able to continue living in a land of the free and home of the brave.

Obomba has destroyed our land of the free and home of the brave.

Now we must put a Man in Office to undo what the democrats have helped Obomba destroy.

Carson may be someone you might like to have dinner with, but when I think of Carson standing face to face with Putin I just don't see a strong Leader. Nor could Carson ship illegal immigrants back to their own homes.

Look at what a handful of Black students are doing in our colleges. They are demanding people resign from their jobs and want more black administrators to cater to their wants and needs.

They demand their tuition and student loans be paid by the taxpayers, so they can spend their parents money on parties and protests instead of going to college to learn.

The same thing Hillary Clinton has planted in their minds just to get their Votes.

Neither Hillary Clinton nor any other President has the power to pay tuition and student loans for all the college students. It is just another LIE to get Votes from the Brain Dead.

And they say, "Black Lives Matter"! If the blacks riot and protest and march around campus like African Head Hunters, Medicine Men and your everyday ZOMBIES. They must not think too much of their lives that their ancesters fought hard for so they could live a good life as free citizens today.

Watch Water's World sometime and see for yourself just how dumb the College Students are today. They are going to run our country one day, but not any time soon from what I can see.

The Government has dummied the students up with their lies and corruption.

No need to apologise for being ignorant Lazarus. We can fix that easily with a little education. I am from the USA. Shelbyville, TN as a matter of fact. Here is where you go wrong -- I didn't follow you down the rabbit hole. I wound like to thank you for your comments. They got me to thinking about moving. If I pack up and move to Mexico then sneak back across the border, I would be set for life. Sounds like a pretty good retirement plan to me.

  • Some refuse to admit we are in better shape than when Bush was in office.Adding to lazarus comment, dont forget unemployment rate 5 percent. What was it when Bush took office from Clinton 4.2 and when he left it was 7.8.Sui how do you know when these people came to Paris. You know more than the police. Some of them could have been living in Paris for some time. One of the attackers has been identified as a young Frenchman born near Paris. Sui those people on Waters world do not represent any one group. He goes out on the street and picks the weirdest people he can find,it is all staged.

LBR?, you must be using government stats designed to make b o look good. Have you ever heard of the non-participation rate? That is a measurement of people who are out of work but aren't even looking for a job. When you add them to the "unemployment" rate you get the real unemployment rate. Lately it has been around 15%.

You forgot to mention the terrorists in Paris are Muslim. About what we should expect from the religion of peace----I mean the religion that will leave you in pieces.

-- Posted by fair share on Sat, Nov 14, 2015, at 2:28 PM
  • Talking to friends in Europe, the problem is not terrorists sneaking in with refugees. The problem is trying to figure out why native born citizens are being recruited into the terrorist ranks.

-- Posted by lazarus on Sat, Nov 14, 2015, at 3:13 PM
  • Then there is Putin "thumbing his nose" at Obama. I was wondering if you were thinking they should be drinking buddies? Of course, if you are referring to those so bold as to proclaim that "If *I* was President, Putin would not be messing with the Ukraine," that is the kind of thing you can say... as long as there is no danger of having to back it up.

It is a matter of geography. Russia and the Ukraine share a 1,300 mile border. Kiev, the capital of the Ukraine, is 490 miles from Moscow.... On the other hand, Kiev is 4,900 miles from Washington DC, with the width of the Atlantic Ocean along the way. We simply do not have the ability to project our military power to the Ukraine.

  • And fair share you forget the majority of terrorist in America are from white Christian families. But that doesn't speak for all Christians anymore than radical muslims speak for all muslims. So you see muslims are not the only terrorists.Trumps answer is more guns, that could cause the victims to shoot each other not knowing who the attackers are.I am waiting for Carson to say the victims should have done more.ISIS has killed more muslims than they have any other religion.America has just as many or more die each year from gun violence.

-- Posted by lets be real on Sat, Nov 14, 2015, at 6:41 PM
  • Good point Lazarus. The U.S. has citizens being recruited into ISIS ranks as well. It is simply based on ideology. The ideology in this case is called Islam, but the root of it is plunder.

The battle is for hearts and minds. This is how all battles/wars begin. First in the hearts and minds, then with words and rhetoric, and finally with violence. All have one thing in common; INJUSTICE caused by PLUNDER of life, liberty, and possessions.

Once an ideology takes hold, and is able to twist minds to justify plundering, it cannot and will not, be stopped until its ability to plunder is taken away. They will not, and cannot, be satisfied with plundering just their own people. It must be ever expanding. Otherwise, it self destructs as new victims to plunder disappear.

This is why we must fight this ideology in our own government.

No need to say the same thing twice. You don't need to call them radical muslims. Just plain Muslim will do. If you think about it, the "radical" ones are realy just mainstream. They are only doing what the koran tells them. As long as they stay over there and kill each other then good for us. Oh, wait a minute. They have been here killing us for over a decade. I guess we don't see those stories since the press is so inundated with stories of white American terrorists. By the way, crime goes down when more people carry.

    lets be real;

    Nice try!

I am one who will tell you in a heartbeat that things are worse under Obomba than Bush. The value of my home was not cut in half until Obomba took Office and a whole lot of other things he had no right to take.

Obomba opened the flood gates and let in all those undocumented Mexicans who cut my prices so low that the contractors used the Mexicans instead of having any loyalty for the American workers.

I retired early so I could have some money coming in from all you taxpayers. BTW - THANK YOU!

If your Obomba was so good, why hasn't the unemployment rate come back down to 4.2%? Obomba has lied about that just like he did with everything else he did. It has come down some but look at how it was done. People had to cut their hours to Part Time hours then Obomba called the shorter hours Full Time hours so it would look like everyone had a Full Time Job.

It just takes twice as many people to do the same work one person was doing in the same 40 Hours. That is how the unemployment came down some. The other way was by Obomba creating more Gov jobs to make the Gov BIGGER so he could hire more people to lower the unemployment rate. PLUS he had to pay them MORE MONEY because they are union workers. Another way Obomba stole money from the taxpayers. And Now he has raised the minimum wages to $15.00 per hour, but ONLY for the Gov Workers and Gov Contractors hiring employees. Another grand theft of Taxpayer's money.

NOTICE HERE: President Obomba did not raise the minimum rate for any women up to $15.00 an hour unless they work for the Gov.. Hillary can not do it either.

LBR if you have been watching the real news, (not MSNBC) you would know that these Syrians have been leaving Syria every since Commander in Chief, Obomba has started bombing Syria in order to destroy Isis Headquarters (using the US Coalition) and Training the Rebels in Syria (we don't really have any idea who these rebels are in Syria). Obomba has armed them and trained them with $500 Millions of Taxpayer Money and sat back and watched Putin bomb the hell out of them.

NOTICE: Obomba has just said AGAIN that he intends to rearm and train more Rebels in Syria. He just doesn't learn anything by his mistakes! This is purposely aiding the enemy because he knows they will be killed by Putin also. Obomba is deliberately spending US Dollars to put the US deeper in Bankruptcy. That is Treason!

The first reporting of the news can not be taken as the Truth. It all seems to change as the truth comes out.

It really doesn't matter where the terrorist came from, they were all in it together and well informed be each other as to what they were going to do. That tells me they were all from the same source, Isis! One could have been a Frenchman, one a Belgium and two or more Syrians who had their homes and family blown to hell because of Obomba's attack on Isis and Assad. Who knows who they were? They were all terrorist and I believe they all came in with the Syrian Refugees. They all knew who to contact when they had all come together in Paris.

If you say I know more then the Police, maybe YOU should listen more to me!

LBR, those people on Waters world do not represent any one group. I agree with you. They are independent students representing their own intelligence or a lack of it. Not all students are stupid but the ones I see on Water's world are misinformed on what is going on around them outside the colleges.

A real good example of your ignorance is the one where Waters went to the college to talk to the students protesting the racism to see what they wanted and why.

A teacher stopped him and called for the students to help her run him off. Was that a staged event?

He sure picked one of the weirdest people for that interview if he staged that one. There was no good report from that college because of that. You just have no idea what you are talking about. You are only repeating something you heard from another democrat.

    LBR;

SInce there are more White Supremacists Terrorist in the United States, why would a muslim or any undocumented Immigrant want to come in America to be killed? That makes no sense to me at all.

Isis has killed more Muslims than they have any other religion!

Now that is an intelligent observation.

Isis is located in the middle east and north Africa and spreading, where the people are mostly muslims. Not a whole lot of Christians left over there compared to the muslim populations. So yes, Isis would be killing more muslims than Christians, until they start over here.

The muslims over here are killing more muslims over here than Christians. They are killing there own children for learning and taking up American customs or dating Americans.

Why come to America and bring your family then kill them because they learn to obey our laws and honor our customs or date Americans who they are going to find here in America? (Honor Killings)

As for all the gun Deaths, you might want to take into consideration that U.S. Doctors kill more Americans (supposedly by mistake) than all the gun violence in America.

Where is the protest for stricter "Doctor Operating" Control Laws?

Watch out, Obomba may want to take away the Operating Knives next!
