  • I heard the biggest growling I've heard in a while just now on the other side of my truck. Ran over to see what was up but should have known it was nothing when PITA was just laying there watching.

Jack, Jill and Dottie were just playin'. In fact, right after that Dottie started running and the two pups were hot on her tail. THEY were the aggressors!

    All is well.

  • Sadly, these puppies and young dog got into trouble with deadly results.

One of our young kittens defended herself with the over-boisterous puppies. Dottie's maternal instincts kicked in and she went to the puppies' defense and the result was a kitten dying in my arms.

Not good for any of us. Dottie has been restricted with a long wire trailing her.

Not one that will get her caught up in things but one that makes her presence known and encumbers her movements enough that I hope there will be no repeat.

I live on edge all the time watching for aggressiveness and I don't know when I will be able to trust her, if ever.

It is such a shame because she is a a lovable, intelligent dog, but....
