First daffy of 2016
These may be 'musings', but this is something that has 'amused' me for some time. I often grab pop-up pastries when I am in a rush in the morning. The sugar-glazed one is actually too sweet for me so I get the un-glazed and while neither is healthy, I figured I was doing better without the extra glazing.
Then why is it that the un-glazed is 50 more calories than the glazed and has more calories from fat than the glazed? It has been this way for years, so it is not a misprint.
Would it be considered an obsession when you can't get to sleep because you are thinking about adding cottonseed meal to your garden bed?
I forgot to post my first daffodils the other day, so I threw the picture in here, but I just thought of the irony burying them under tilled dirt as I set up a garden bed. Seems self-defeating.
I planned on digging them back out but the rains came and now it is a mound of mud, so it is probably better to leave them alone right now.
Either way, I am VERY excited that it is a harbinger of Spring. It has not been a particularly bad W season (I've refuse to say the complete word for the season) and this cool snap is not discouraging at all, but Spring is always so much better.
Oops! One of our cats just took a dive off my desk. She lays in a shallow cardboard box that she took over as a bed, but as she turned around just now, it moved too close to the edge. When I looked down, I noticed she has gotten back in it on the floor and continued as if it never happened.
I told you my mind was getting tired. You can stop reading any time your mind gets tired of my ramblings. I basically just wanted to make my observation about the pop-up pastry but did not want the post to seem like that was all it was.
I know, dumb. Oh well, sometimes there ain't much more in there. :-)
Good night folks.
