What is real, true, a fact?
Apparently we have no new bloggers who would like discuss their most loved subjects, so I will once again open things up, with apprehension.
I am trying a "new" personal policy on what makes me take down a blog. I would prefer you don't test the boundaries, but I know it will be tough for some.
Why is it so hard to discuss a topic without getting angry, calling names, throwing out bitter sarcasms, etc.?
I am not talking about just politics, although almost any serious topic regarding current events seems to degrade into unsubstantiated, negative comments about one party, candidate, group or.....
It would really be nice if this could be a place for open discussion without the same old "right"/"left" discussions or someone being a blubbering idiot for saying something on their mind.
I have several readers who make comments to me but won't participate because of the hate that spills out from anonymity. I see it as a form of bullying.
Are we not better than that? Have we not grown out of our grade-school ways?
Substantiated or unsubstantiated, what makes it real? A comment by a blogger, a news organization, a first-hand witness, an educator, or....what?
