  • Steve, you do realize you misspelled "Shelbyville," right? ;)

  • Yes, but shhhh. We'll see who else sees it. LOL

Actually, mother-in-law calls it just Shelby but others seem to leave the "y: out when in a rush.

Because of my typing and lack of double checking I could do it incorrectly too but this time......

    Have yous seen it?

  • There are many examples of how we can read paragraphs of totally misspelled words and understand. I wonder if this is an example of how we know what it is supposed to be so go right past it.

My wife is the one who caught it. She doesn't let me in town often. :-)

She used to be my spellchecker before they became prominent in all the software and web programs.

I think you have an extra "l" in Shebville .

  • You had me checking my glasses fairshare. It's not what is there but what is NOT there.

And John, the misspelling wasn't originally intentional, but I caught it before I posted and decided to leave it to see what would happen. I should have figured one who lives by words would catch it.

  • I have to shake my head every time I see that sign. I'm glad someone else noticed. I was starting to think I was the only one. ;)
