Go back to the 60-70's?
Actually, the first part is where Mirrah our cat walked across my keyboard. She had something to say, so maybe other cat lovers can interpret it.
We enjoy bananas today because no one could decipher the equation well enough to make more than banana bread. A banana daiquiri worked better, but I suspect it was because of an additive.
My absurd point is that there are many modern day things of which we are NOT able to enjoy because some backyard chemist found a way to twist it into something else. I sit here with a stuffy nose as evidence.
Now opioids are in the bulls-eye. Never mind those that it helps with chronic pain. Do they find an alternate before they take away beneficial drugs? Not if it is like that which they replaced pseudoephedrine.
That stuff they call antihistamines is useless to me. Tried three or four basic compounds and they all are as good as a placebo. Maybe the placebo can be better if they use the right "inner" ingredients.
Was caffeine an inner ingredient in Anacin originally? I don't remember them promoting it many years ago, but knew something made a difference.
What is the next good thing to be abused and then withdrawn from use?
