Just thought you folks would appreciate a new post to share your opinions. For those keeping track, I am as amazed at BOTH parties being so naive, and disappointed that they are playing a dangerous game over such a matter.
I am not a techie by any means, but I've known to not trust email security since just about the time I started using it. Should we get into a Pi$$ing match with a world power because some our illustrious leaders (those who should have known better and were wanting to run our country) were stupid?
The world's super powers have been playing this game since before they became super powers. Is the surprise and indignation real? Are those hacked, really surprised?
If so, and they are that naive, should we trust them with security of our nation? This includes Republicans as well as Democrats.
I have not heard Trump say this, but supposedly he does not trust sensitive information to be transmitted by email. He prefers phone conversations or courier. If this is true, he could be much smarter than his critics give him credit.
I love it when all these tech companies say how safe their "cloud" is. Right, up until the time they are hacked.
MAYBE it influenced an election and MAYBE it was orchestrated by the Russian government. As clueless as our leaders seem to be about technology in general, I am not convinced they KNOW what they THINK the know.
If it had gone the other way, I would be ticked off like those who are now, but for a different reason. I would be ticked off that the Republicans were so naive and stupid. Maybe they are and that is scary too.
Happy New Year!
