Daffodils back-lit by this afternoon's sun.
What a great day to start the season of meetings than on a day when many will be wearing green. The location is not set yet, but more than likely will be the same location we have been at for years, the Ag Extension office. As soon as it is confirmed, we will publish the location and time.
The purpose of the meeting will be to determine the core agenda for all of our meetings for the year. The core will be a 20-30 minute segment that is dedicated to a certain topic. After that, we will open it up to general discussion of what has been going on in our gardens, special challenges, and internet research of whatever is on your mind. So let's discuss what those topics might be and maybe even set a topic for that first meeting.
Membership is very relaxed. If you show up, you are a member. Unless the group decides differently, there are no fees, dues or formal requirements. We don't have officers although I suggest we ask for volunteers to spearhead the topics chosen, a call group to remind/encourage folks to attend the next meeting, etc.
Currently we have one organized meeting a month with a "social" fill in meeting two weeks after for those who want to meet at a local restaurant or other place of their choice. This could be someone's house, garden or a field trip. It is up to the members so if you have some ideas, want to suggest topics, meeting places or something else, PLEASE try to attend this first meeting.
