And the thunder rolls
Not sure that there is a real correlation here but it is what happened so.....
I put some small plants out two days ago and thought, THOUGHT I had them far enough away that Spotty could not reach them. All but one Boston fern, which paid the price. It got divided and re-potted.
This round of plants were larger ones and I put them under the roof overhang and right in front of my desk so any mischief (during the day) will be very obvious. At least she seemed repentant when I found the Boston fern. Previously she would just look at me and our other dog, who probably had nothing to do with it, would whine her apology.
Strangely, I still do not have the burning urge to plant seeds. I should hate to see a garden spot I have worked so long and hard to improve sit idle, but as soon as I get the tractor functioning again, I think I will smooth it over and let nature reclaim it. Should I get the itch, it will be easily put back into service. Likewise, I need to smooth out all the first year beds I created from going to the seed swap last Winter.
As soon a I am sure the urge will stay dormant, I will share my seeds with the garden club.
