  • Sorry for the punctuation errors. Done on the phone just before bed so..... Easier to apologize than go back and change everything.

We have another 8 week old in ICU. Same as Bernice but this one has given us some tense moments. I could not confirm she was drinking at all so I doubled her pedialyte.

This seems to have helped and she actually showed some interest in some wet food this morning. I don't know how many of us have ever tasted pedialyte but we have to get unflavored for the cats and it is YUK!

I am now mixing 50/50 with some chicken broth. I have not tasted that yet but will the next feeding, just to see. Has to be a little bit better! :-0

I will put a picture up after I feel sure she is out of harm's way.

After I hit save, I see that my avatar is being used posted with this comment, Neat even though new people may not know the T-G has a blog.

  • Steve,

Take a look at " Dog's Best Friend " and see if it can be used on cats. It was created to sooth the skin…..

  • Thanks, I will. I used it on our lap dog's rash and it soothed it (based on her lack of scratching). Did not think about it for the cats.

I've had a few times when the vet told me a cat had fleas. Didn't see em or anything but the scratching. Sure enough, it cleared up after flea treatment. One bit of advice about Precious, if you are going to clean and dry her like that, be sure to use some Bounce. Otherwise, you'll never get the tangles out of her hair. And don't bother asking how I know. I wonder if people that think poorly of cats, especially around Halloween, bother to notice how they tend to bring out the Christmas spirit?

  • Thank you Palindrome. I hope someone reads the T-G at the "Pearly Gates" in their down time. :-)

Love the Bounce suggestion fair share.!

  • Ooh, ooh, that reminds me. One of out outside cats is named Bouncy. He/she got the name from bouncing through the grass to a specific place I place food. Even as it has grown older, he/she still bounces to the spot. Guess they got used to the name?

  • I decided the avatar was annoying and removed it. If I only wrote about the cats, I would use the one our daughter created Caring For Paws, but when it does not apply it seems weird and seeing my face on every post was just..... annoying.
