I had several topics in mind for my next post centering on some of today's craziness. Then, while fixing a salad for lunch I turned on the TV and surfed the channels until PBS came up with a special about Karen and Richard Carpenter. I don't know of a song that I did not like and can think of many that really touched me so it is not surprising that I was hypnotized.
There is too much of the story to tell here, but for those of us who lived their music, it is a great story to watch. Great and for me highly emotional. Maybe too emotional for me at this point in time because I could not finish it. I knew the ending and knew a lot of the details in between, but watching it again brought back so much that I had to stop.
So what? To most, this might be a nothing post, but if nothing else, I am sure the Carpenter family and even Karen would want you to learn about anorexia nervosa and see what this horrible condition can do. Watch for the symptoms, don't sit by and hope it will resolve itself. Get involved.
